Perhaps you still think the travel agent is a profession on the decline, and you are doing your agent a favor each time you call, text or email instead of going direct. When you get their recommendations back you reply with a screenshot from Expedia or Travelocity with a slightly better price or some travel blogger’s post suggesting something else, just to keep them on their toes. If you keep it up, don't be surprised to get a message back, “Please go ahead and book it. Good luck. Love and best wishes. Goodbye!” The one thing you and I don’t have, many travel agents today don’t have much of either – and that’s time.
