This is by no means an exhaustive list, but hopefully it can help.

1. Add the following to your email signature

   
   

   I will never ask you to wire transfer money without talking to you on the phone first. If you receive a request to send money, please call me first to confirm.

   
   

2. When you are making a booking and need payment details, call your client, and have a conversation.  Remind them of the following

   1. "Never provide any payment details to anyone else regarding your travels – I will always be the one talking to you about this"

Direct Travel has identified an active scam campaign targeting travel advisors through unsolicited requests for Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, or Google Meet meetings. 

The Scenario: 

Bad actors are posing as legitimate “new clients” and asking to have a video meeting – and they want to send you the link to connect.
